Meet our Team

  • Dr. Maria Scouros, Oncology / Hematology, Founder

After starting her career at MD Anderson in 1978, Dr. Scouros founded the Houston Cancer Institute, PA in 1984 to bring state of the art therapies and treatments to patients in the community. In 2024, Dr. Scouros teamed up with other specialists to establish the Memorial Longevity Clinic and take the concept of early detection and prevention to a bold new level - across not only cancer, but other chronic and deadly diseases.

Dr. Scouros is an avid reader, and as a proud Greek American, can always recommend the best souvlaki in town.

  • Dr. Shiraz Dhanani, Cardiology

As a Board Certified Cardiologist, Dr. Shiraz Dhanani enjoyed a busy practice in the Spring Branch area for nearly thirty one years whereby he had the privilege of diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases in thousands of patients with confidence and joy.

Throughout his vast experience, it became clear that early detection and treatment of cardiovascular conditions were the critical steps needed to reducing the high mortality rates our nation continues to see. This drove Dr. Dhanani to join the Memorial Longevity Clinic, where he saw an opportunity to help asymptomatic and otherwise unsuspecting patients monitor cardiovascular disease and risk proactively through examination, diagnostics, and noninvasive testing.

Dr. Dhanani loves to walk and bike in his neighborhood. He is also an avid golf player - although his colleagues think his skill level could use some improvement!

  • KT Smith, Registered Dietician

As a registered dietitian, KT discovered her passion for nutrition early on. Her curiosity for how the body works and the transformative role that food plays led her to earn a degree in Nutritional Sciences from Texas Christian University. With a diverse background as a clinician and integrative health practitioner, she blends evidence-based nutrition with mindfulness to help clients develop sustainable, balanced habits. KT's approach emphasizes the core pillars of health – nutrition, movement, stress management, and restorative sleep – to create personalized plans that deliver lasting results.

Outside of the office, KT is an avid runner, wife, and mom to three little girls – though she often jokes that her daughters are the real ones running the show!
